Orpheus Island offers dining in a relaxed open restaurant with views across the ocean and the experience is a highlight of your stay at Orpheus Island Resort. Orpheus has won various awards for their food and can boast some of the best cuisine on the Great Barrier Reef. Meals are served with flair and imagination and include tropical fruits, local seafoods and exotic delicacies. The setting could not be better with ocean views and dramatic sunsets. Orpheus Island's Chef prepares a new menu daily to make sure all guests enjoy their stay.

Breakfast is served in the restaurant and boasts an extensive a la carte menu. For lunch you can eat alfresco style in the courtyard with views across the beach. Or, alternatively you can take a gourmet picnic hamper with you and find your own private beach on the island. Enjoy the day relaxing and snorkelling with an amazing array of tropical fish and coral.

Dinner is served in the open air restaurant "degustation style". The chef prepares a new menu daily with the emphasis being on seafood, exotic delicacies with his own tropical influence. You will experience seven courses of varying styles of gourmet cuisine. At Orpheus every meal is an indulgence and is guaranteed to satisfy even the most fussiest of palates. Not to mention the extensive wine list boasting a selection of premium and boutique Australian and International wines.

For that special occasion, you can opt to "Dine with the Tides" on the pier. Here, you can sit back with your loved one. Enjoy your seven course degustation menu at your own table on the pier whilst enjoying the fantastic view and sunset. Additional cost.

Facilities

Bars

Adjacent to the open air restaurant is a great spot to enjoy a few pre-dinner drinks while swapping a few stories after a day in the sun. The bar is comprehensively stocked with Australian and imported beers, along with a quality selection of wines, spirits and liquors. Or alternatively, you may want to unwind and watch the sunset whilst you enjoy a few quiet drinks while relaxing by the pool.

Quiet Lounge

With ocean views the open lounge area is the perfect place to relax, read a book, play a game of chess and just enjoy the tranquillity of Orpheus. Fresh baked treats are also available to guests in the Quiet Lounge.

Boutique

For those of you that like to indulge in a bit of retail therapy, why not have a browse in Orpheus Island's own boutique and take a little bit of Orpheus home with you.

Recreation Room

Rest assured for those of you that can't miss that sporting match or favourite TV show you can always retreat to the inviting recreation room. Orpheus Island's recreation room comes equipped with satellite TV, video, pool table, board games and a small book exchange library.

Gym

If all the activities don't wear you out you can always work out in the gymnasium equipped with bike, treadmill and weight machine.
